Your Host
For those you may not know me much just yet. Hola 👋🏼 I’m Flavia, a First Gen Peruvian American solo traveler and the travel blogger (latinatraveller.com/blog) behind Latina Traveler. My travels and tips focus on unique experiences, secondary cities, and immersing myself in the culture all from the perspective of a Latina. So far I’ve traveled to over 37 countries and have lived in six.
For a while now it’s been mi sueño (my dream) to travel with my community as well as other like minded travelers. And that’s why I invite you to travel with me! We’ll be exploring the best of Morocco while learning as much as we can about the culture and trying all the food! During this time we’ll also get to know each other and everyone in the group to leave with new amigas and a whole new network.
Can’t wait to see you in Brazil! 😍
Brazil Group Trip Itinerary
Look over the full Brazil Group Trip itinerary. Optional activities are in bold and have an *. Information about each will be in more detail at the bottom.
Day 1: Ilha Grande
After landing in the beautifully vibrant country of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, we’ll be transporting to Ilha Grande where we’ll be starting our trip. We’ll settle into our hotel and get acquainted with our new surroundings before heading for dinner! Our guide will give us recommendations.
Day 2: Ilha Grande
We’ll start our morning bright and early with a boat tour around the island. It’ll be a 6 hour trip so make sure to eat a filling breakfast and bring sunscreen! This island is beautiful and I know we’ll enjoy swimming in the warm waters and taking in some sun.
Day 3: Ilha Grande
Today will be a full day excursion so get ready to get active. We’ll be hiking and taking a flexboat. Be prepared for an 8 hour trip!
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro
Today we’ll be traveling from Ilha Grande to Rio de Janeiro for the second half of our trip. We’ll have an open afternoon to get used to our new surroundings, with an optional Local Samba Night Experience* to get into the Carnival vibes!
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro
No trip to Rio de Janeiro is complete without checking off at least some touristy activities from our bucket list especially a World Wonder! We’ll start with a welcome tour to Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and more! It’ll be a full day tour, but will cover a lot.
Day 6: Rio de Janeiro
Whether you went to the optional Samba Night Experience or not, we’ll start today honing our dancing skills with a private Samba class. We have to get ready to partake in Carnival activities and this is the best way to do it.
The afternoon will be another walking tour which will cover the History of Samba and the Women of Little Africa plus a Carnival experience.
In the evening we’ll have an optional Carnival Parade experience*. This will be for the ones who want to see the parade directly!
Day 7: Rio de Janeiro
Our morning is starting off in a party mode with a Carnival street party known as Blocos. In the afternoon we’ll be doing a nature tour around Rio to the botanical garden, Lage park, and the Tijuca forest.
To end our last full day on the trip, we’ll have an optional Copacabana Bars Food Tour* which will last about 4 hours. We’ll try an array of different Brazilian foods to wrap on our amazing time here!
Day 8: Airport
Our amazing trip has come to an end and we’ll head to the airport to say our see you laters instead of our goodbyes.
