If you can’t focus at home or your hostel/hotel/Airbnb, but don’t want to go to countless cafes around Barcelona finding good wifi and a great spot, then this post is for you! I lived in Barcelona from 2019 to 2023 and visited many cafes doing research for this post. Please be mindful that this post is accurate at the time of posting, but may change over time. I will do my best to update it as often as I can, but please double check that it’s open and operating if you visit much later than the date of this post.

I know everyone’s expectations of a cafe differ so I’ve made sure to include as much information as possible so you can choose which is best for you. In this post you’ll know about the Barcelona coffee shops:

  • Wifi strength
  • Outlet availability and accessibility
  • Quality of coffee (keep in mind I mainly drink lattes/flat whites/iced coffees)
  • Food offered
  • Ambiance
  • Accessibility
  • My experience

To be as honest as possible, I have visited every Barcelona coffee shop at least twice to get a better idea of each. If there are cafes I visited that I felt didn’t meet the standards of a laptop friendly space, I didn’t include it at all. If it was aesthetic and a nice place to visit then it will be added to an upcoming blog post.

Please let me know if you visit any of these coffee shops in Barcelona below in the comments. If you attempt to visit any and the vibe and/or space has changed completely, also let me know! This way I can update it and take out/change any unnecessary information.

Let’s go over the best Barcelona coffee shops that are laptop friendly!

Barcelona Coffee Shops

Hidden Coffee

The Hidden Coffee in el Born, Barcelona.

Hidden Coffee has two locations, one in el Born and the other in Les Corts. Chances are you’ll probably opt for el Born so let’s talk about it! This spot is super cute with amazing coffee. I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob, so I’m picky about it but this one definitely gets my support.

If you’re working on a laptop you’ll have to sit at one of the high tables, so get there early cause they do fill up! They have outlets so you can charge your devices.

Address: Carrer dels Canvis Vells, 10, 08003 Barcelona

They have another location in Les Corts.

Wifi? Yes, and works really well.

Outlets? Yes, but limited.

Coffee? Delicious and recommended! Also try their matcha lattes.

Espai Joliu

Espai Joliu, Barcelona. June 2021

Espai Joliu is located in Poble Nou. This one can be a bit out of the way if you’re not staying in that area, but I promise it’s worth it. When you enter the space you’ll be surrounded by plants which are available for purchase. Plant parent anyone?! There are certain tables you can work at and ones you can’t. If you’ll need an outlet, they have them but only near certain tables. Get there early to snag a good spot.

Address: C/ de Badajoz, 95, 08005 Barcelona

Wifi? Yes, and it works.

Outlets? There are some.

Coffee? Nothing particularly special in my opinion.

Sabio Infante

Cafe Sabio Infante in Gràcia, Barcelona.

Sabio Infante is found in Gràcia on a rather quiet street. Their iced coffee is everything, especially on warmer days. They have brunch which is worth trying. They have one large table near the counter where most people work. One of the downsides is there are no power outlets, so come fully charged.

Address: Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla, 39, 08012 Barcelona

They have another location in Exiample.

Wifi? Yes, and it works.

Outlets? No, come fully charged.

Coffee? Iced coffee is delish!

Wynwood Cafe

The Wynwood Cafe in Barcelona

Wynwood Cafe is found on a busy street in Eixample. It’s a small and cozy spot where you can people watch if you’re by the window. The ambiance is nice and you’re able to work anywhere you can get a seat. They have great options for breakfast or lunch if you’re looking to be here a while.

Address: Travessera de Gràcia, 52, 08021 Barcelona

Wifi? Yes, and it works.

Outlets? Yes, a few.

Coffee? It’s okay.

La Ikas

Las Ikas is in the heart of Gracia and a cute, small place. It’s possible you’ll miss it if you don’t already know it’s there. There’s even a small patio in the back to get some fresh air, but note that the farther from the inside, the weaker the wifi signal. Do be warned that the lady that works in the mornings prefers to be paid in cash and will ask you to move to a smaller table if it’s just you and your laptop.

Address: Carrer de la Perla, 22, 08012 Barcelona

Wifi? Yes, it works well.

Outlets? Yes, there’s a few.

Coffee? Good!

Vivari

Cafe Vivari in Barcelona.

Vivari is a chain located around the city so what you find in one you’ll find in most. They have an array of baked goods, coffee options, and sandwiches. Most are located in pretty popular spots and the prices are reasonable. I definitely have visited many around the city. My favorite one is on Carrer Balmes because it has a second floor that is usually pretty quiet but gives a nice view out onto the street.

Address: C. de Balmes, 221, 08006 Barcelona

There are more locations, this is my favorite though.

Wifi? Yes, it works well.

Outlets? Yes, depending on where you sit.

Coffee? Good and pretty standard across the board!

Sandwichez

Sandwichez is another chain with many spots around the city. Their locations tend to be big with lots of tables to work at. These cafes are made to work so you’ll usually find lots of people on their laptops or studying. Their iced coffees are one of the closest to US iced coffees I’ve found. Most other places will give you a hot coffee and a cup with ice. This one is legit. A bit pricier as it tends to draw in a digital nomad and work from home crowd, but not bad overall.

Address: C/ de Trafalgar, 11, 08010 Barcelona

There are many more locations but this is my favorite.

Wifi? Yes, it works well.

Outlets? Yes, in certain areas.

Coffee? Love their iced coffee and pretty standard across their stores.

Cafélunya

Pannia in Barcelona.

Pannia is another chain to check out. There aren’t as many locations as the previous two but I personally really love the vibe. The layout is usually the same, but my favorite part is the couch located in each. It gives me such a “Friends” vibe and makes me feel as if I’m home even though I’m not.

Address: C/ de la Diputació, 429, 08013 Barcelona

Wifi? Yes, it works well.

Outlets? Yes, there are some.

Coffee? I personally like it!
